Dani Potis, LCPC

Therapist

I am a licensed clinical therapist in the state of Maryland and received my Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University.

I have experience treating eating disorders and working as a primary therapist at the residential and partial hospitalization levels of care. I have a special interest in working with complex trauma, mood, and personality disorders, which gives me a unique perspective on how best to support those of all ages and cultural backgrounds through their mental health journey.

I believe strongly in the therapeutic alliance and work with clients to find which approach to therapy fits best for them, my therapeutic style incorporates CBT, DBT, and MBT, and FBT. I hold a recovery focused lens, recognizing that therapy, like life, is not perfect, progress is not linear, and there is much out of our control. However, recovery lies in how we respond in these moments and being mindful of the choices and actions that are in our control. I look forward to uncovering this balance with you as well as collaboratively addressing each of your unique needs and goals.
